More Info

During the Golden Age of Automobiles, Chicago’s Motor Row was the center of the city’s car culture. At its peak over 100 makes of automobiles were sold in opulent showrooms on South Michigan Avenue. The dealership buildings were built to grab attention with their creative architectural design. Many of these buildings still stand paying tribute to when automobiles first came to Chicago. Guest Lecturer is Chicago Historian, Dennis McClendon.
